The Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center is
the premier children’s museum on the Northshore.


It is the perfect place for families with toddlers and children up to age twelve to learn and explore together in a safe and fun hands-on environment. The open and interactive area is filled with unique, entertaining and educational areas to explore.

Rounded out with party rooms available for birthdays, special occasions or corporate events, and quiet space for parents and infants, the Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center provides a comfortable and engaging environment for the entire family to enjoy together.

While we hope the majority of our operating budget is generated from admissions, membership and other sources which serve as vital revenue, as an independent, non-profit organization, we rely on thoughtful donations from our friends, community and corporate partners to help us share the “power of play” with thousands of young children each year. Three levels of participation are offered to support the Louisiana’s Children Discovery Center: Exhibit Sponsorships, Corporate Sponsorships and Annual Membership Packages.

The Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center is more than a children’s museum. It is a community resource for children, parents, caregivers, families and schools. We are deeply committed to the importance of play and its role in the development and lives of all children.
